This paper proposes a method of adressing epistemic uncertainty in MFA reconciliation. Instead of arbitrarily selecting single probability distributions to represent the uncertain variables, available albeit scarce information is coded in the form of possibility distributions (fuzzy sets). The reconciliation problem is then solved using a linear programming method that looks for the most likely set of values that respect mass balances and constraints on parameter memberships.
