Statement

Methodology:

The model simulations were carried out using MITgcm (www.MITgcm.org) version c66j, with the addition of the changes described in Jordan et al. JGR-Oceans (2017).

The model data is supplied in netcdf format with text files of the individual simulation setups also provided. Netcdf files are named inline with their description in Jordan et al. JGR-Oceans (2017), having 7 runs where the number represents the depth of the pycnocline in meters as well as a constant hot and cold forcing.

Data collection:

Model runs were carried out on the UKs national supercomputer facility, ARCHER

Data quality:

Data presented is monthly mean averages of the model output for various fields.
