NERC EDS Environmental Information Data Centre 10.5285/4f447446-5461-48b2-b154-ff7094176502 This dataset contains details of sediment geochemistry, loss-on-ignition and sediment median particle size for two short reservoir cores collected from two reservoirs (Cowbury Dale and Higher Swineshaw), Stalybridge Tameside, Manchester. Cores were collected in 2018 following a severe moorland wildfire (July 2018) in the two reservoir catchments. Cores were collected from the deepest part of the reservoir using gravity coring and sampled at 2.5 mm intervals for analysis. The work was supported by the Natural Environment Research Council (Grant NE/S011560/1).
