The dataset also contains a 10 m resolution raster land cover map of the survey sites and spatially referenced GIS files of the survey transect paths. The work was carried out by the data authors to assess pollinator abundance and species richness within the rural landscape of Leighfield Forest. Species records were sense checked by the surveying ecologist, and double checked by the collating ecologist. Data were recorded on filedsheets and entered in spreadsheets. Data were exported as comma seperated files for deposit into the EIDC. The 10 m resolution raster land cover map was produced through a random forest classification of Sentinel-2 satellite imagery, accessed and classified in Google Earth Engine. Classification accuracy was assessed at 89.1% through a confusion matrix of 700 random points across the mapped area.
