Training data was collated from crop records of the region held by local land managers, Crop Map of England (CROME) 2018 from the Rural Payments Agency and LCM2018 (Land Cover Map 2018) from the UK Centre for Ecology & Hydrology. Map accuracy was assessed through a confusion matrix of 700 randomly sampled points across the study area and the K coefficient. Overall classification accuracy was 92.1% and the K coefficient was 0.91. Class level accuracy assessments are presented in the supporting information.
