This dataset was generated as part of the NERC funded project 'Reducing the impacts of plastic waste in the Eastern Pacific Ocean', which aims to “reduce plastic leakage in the Eastern Pacific region, supporting development of a sustainable, circular plastics resource flow and reducing the impacts of plastic pollution on livelihoods and wildlife”. This data was collected to monitor the river hydrological conditions alongside collections of anthropogenic litter using the Azure System developed by Ichthion Limited (https://ichthion.com/tecnologia/). The Excel files were organized per year of sampling (2021 and 2022), and each file corresponding to one year contained one tab for each month of the year. From those initial spreadsheets, hydrological data was checked by Ichthion for quality control, and then reorganized at the University of Exeter onto a new spreadsheet compiling all months and years into the single file that is provided here.
