European Centre for Medium-Range Weather Forecasts (ECMWF) 40-year Re-Analysis (ERA-40) model data
The European Centre for Medium-Range Weather Forecasts (ECMWF) ERA-40 Re-Analysis Project consists of a number of climate datasets spanning the period mid-1957 to August 2002 using a consistent model. The data overlaps with the earlier ECMWF ERA-15 Re-analysis project (1979-1993).
This dataset collection contains both initialised and uninitialised T106 spectral upper air data (approximately 1 degree resolution) on model levels and standard pressure levels. Corresponding surface parameters are held on a reduced Gaussian N80 grid. Regular 2.5 degree x 2.5 degree gridded data are also stored on standard pressure levels and at the surface.
