Data for Figure 3.43 from Chapter 3 of the Working Group I (WGI) Contribution to the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) Sixth Assessment Report (AR6).



Figure 3.43 shows centred pattern correlations between models and observations for the annual mean climatology over the period 1980-1999.

- variable: 'cor' with two dimensions:

* 'vars': variables on the x-axis (same order as in the figure)

* 'models': name of each models (the attribute 'project' contains mapping to 'CMIP3', 'CMIP5' or 'CMIP6')



'cor' refers to the pattern correlation between models and observations.

CMIP3 is the third phase of the Coupled Model Intercomparison Project.

CMIP5 is the fifth phase of the Coupled Model Intercomparison Project.

CMIP6 is the sixth phase of the Coupled Model Intercomparison Project.
