Phytoelectronic potassium sensor performance data

This dataset is in vitro validation of a potassium sensor that will be inserted into a plant stem. The dataset shows the sensitivity and selectivity of the fabricated potassium sensor. The data was obtained by measuring changes in electrical current with an increase in concentrations of the primary ion (K+) and interfering ion (Na+) to extract the sensitivity and selectivity, respectively using a semiconductor parameter analyser. K+ ion sensing data, measured directly inside a plant stem, are absent as the in vivo experiment should be optimised further. Statement

The data were generated by measuring electrical current with an increase in ion concentrations stepwise using a semiconductor parameter analyser. There are raw data without data treatment. The applied voltage was 0 V and -0.6 V at the gate and drain terminal, respectively. Recorded output signal was drain current with the unit of ampere. This dataset was recorded in real time. Additionally, for in vitro validation, an artificial sap (Na+ 15 mM, Ca2+ 10 mM, Mg2+ 15 mM) was used with varying a K+ ion concentration.
