The diameter of the lysimeter was 80 cm. The boundary conditions for the simulations were obtained from the in-situ instruments. Soil moisture and metal concentration in the root zone were simulated and recorded at regular intervals. The entire soil column of the lysimeter (100 cm) was discretized with 101 nodes for conducting high resolution simulation and examine the spatiotemporal variation of the soil moisture through the growing season. The hydraulic parameters (residual soil water content, saturated soil water content and parameter α for soil water retention) required by the model were calibrated to match the observed soil moisture data.
