These data were downloaded using the tools in https://github.com/atedstone/get_modis. Data were stitched and regridded using stitch_warp_modis_l2.py then modisgtiff2nc.py in https://github.com/atedstone/modis_tools. The template file that was used with these tools is provided in this data collection (reproject.template). This processing chain generated daily mosaics of MODIS data that were saved to NetCDF files (not provided here) that were in turn used as inputs to the analysis scripts in https://github.com/atedstone/Tedstone2017_TheCryosphere_Scripts.
