Data were processed at the British Antarctic Survey, detailed in https://sona.aq/data/data-overview/. Acoustic calibration constants were obtained during cruise JR177, detailed in https://www.bodc.ac.uk/data/information_and_inventories/cruise_inventory/report/jr177, and applied to the acoustic data in post processing. Post-processing was undertaken using Echoview and Matlab, using BAS-SONA processing suite, a modified version of the CSIRO-BASOOP processing suite. Data collection: Simrad EK60 echo sounder (38, 120 and 200 kHz) Data quality: Raw data (time, gps and acoustic) are not quality checked. A measure of quality control is given by the proportion of data retained after a sequence of filters within the processing chain.
