These traits were: 1) body length; 2-6) quantification of behavioural interactions with oilseed rape flowers (e.g. time spent on flowers, pollen foraging and dry pollen on bodies); Trait 7) an index of overall body hairiness; Traits 8-14) morphological characteristics affecting pollen retention on bodies linked to the presence of corbicula and scopa; Trait 14-15) pollen availability dictated by whether or not pollen is carried within bee crops; Trait 15) mouthpart structure. Traits 8-15 are associated with bees, however, their absence will affect the pollen carrying capacity for non-bee species and as such are relevant cross taxon effect traits.
