GBR BGS Soil Parent Material for mySoil

The map covers Great Britain and integrates geology and soil characteristics at a scale of 1:50 000 (visible at higher zoom levels), with a 1km resolution version available for regional overview.

The mySoil app lets you take a soil properties map of Britain with you wherever you go, helping you learn about the soil beneath your feet. The project has also developed a citizen science role for the apps, enabling users to upload their own observations about soils in their area. The mySoil project has contributed several data layers to the UKSO Portal.
