Isoprene concentration measurements were calibrated against a gas standard (uncertainty 5%) and had the instrument background subtracted, which was assessed by sampling air that had passed through a zero air generator. Isoprene fluxes were calculated using the eddy covariance technique, with corrections for high frequency losses applied. The quality of the data were assessed based on stationarity and integral turbulence statistics. All data were retained except those where insufficient data was recorded during the individual 25 minute averaging periods.
