Water Quality - Orthophosphate

The data displaying Phosphorus is derived from the Environment Agency’s Water Quality Archive.

The WIMS determinand is “Orthophosphate, reactive as P” (WIMS determinand code 0180), unit: mg/L; it is referred as in the assessment as reactive phosphorus.

The available data are extracted for the area of ‘Hertfordshire and North London’ and ‘Kent and South London’. Newly published data are incorporated into the WQE as they become available. Data from all freshwater river sample points collected for the purpose of “environmental monitoring statutory (EU directives)” (purpose code “MS”) with monitoring of selected determinands (substances) were used in the analysis.
